Life, Business & the Pursuit of Happiness: Playing a Bigger Game Not More Difficult

  • Clarissa McIntosh · 11 months ago
    Hi!

Really great post today - and so true!! When you live the life that you LOVE, then things are so much easier. It is all about your passion and following that passion to the end, when it comes down to it.

Hi Alexis - James Roche shared with me a while ago we should connect and now reading your blog I understand why. Focusing on living my purpose (especially after having my hands analyzed by Baeth Davis 2 years ago) has become a daily practice. Key words she shared were "when you are having fun Kim, you'll manifest all you want." Keeping these words in the forefront of my mind as I make dailydecisions has become a very healthy filter. As parents I truly believe it's our responsibility to share with our children what's possible and how better to do that by living a purpose-driven life?
I look forward to reading more ...
    Take care,
    Kim

I agree, Alexis! Thx for the good post on pursuing your passion 100% every day. I think for many the challenge is letting go of the "familiar" in order to live their passion 100%- whether it's your routines, your thought processes, whatever it is.

Seeing how financially slammed most people got following the "familiar" traditional wisdom in 2008, now is the perfect time to believe "Anything is possible" as Obama said today and start playing bigger and seizing opportunities in your life!

Thanks for the reminder that it's not necessarily going to be any harder and just MAY end up being easier. :) God bless.

It is all about the big picture and the big game. It's like in sports, when the stakes are high some of the worst teams somehow miraculously accomplish feats untold. Er...like the Cardinals of Arizona, where did they come from? Or look at Pres. Obama...the stakes were, the game was huge and well...it's history now.

I come from the Capital of marathon runners. Most people think it is crazy to run for that long of a time. But every Kenyan runner will tell you, after so many Kilometers, you don't even know you are doing it. It's just that easy :)!

I have come to an understanding that a lot of people do not what to give up comforts for wealth, ignorance for knowledge because it takes work and you have to put yourself out there. People are afraid to fail, but I like what Mark Sanborn says, "It is better to be a has been rather than a never was!"

The stakes just got bigger for me and I am in it to win it!

Bravo again Alexis.! Over the last three years I have been taking steps to do exactly what you describe here. I recall the familiarity of those top three excuses and what I have come to realize is that when these show up, they are merely manifestations of my own fears. And for a long time I was challenged by the idea of trusting the process and having faith in the unknown. As I have continued to practice trusting the supportive energy of life I have had the insight that EVERYTHING that comes into my life is for my greatest good. Even if I may not understand how in the moment, I can trust that each experience (welcomed or challenging) is an opportunity for my continued growth and self expression. With this awareness I now welcome risk taking and stepping into the unknown. As a result, I have seen the vision for my life expand to so much greater than I could have possibly imagined just a few short years ago.
Thank you for your continued inspiration to keep shining my light and supporting others in doing the same.
    ;)

I have to agree. I'm expecting baby #3 here, and in preparation for that event have been getting more work than usual done. It's added motivation! I'm steadily pulling ahead of where I'd normally be, just so I can have a little break after she's born (soon).

"The BIGGER my game, the EASIER my life gets"
    ... Thanks Alexis ?

Great post... seems like a paradox to most people - BUT so true when you experience it yourself.

Recipe for PLAYING A BIGGER GAME in life:

? Live Bigger, Love More, Laugh Often & follow your Heart ?

Thanks for your Inspiration & Example :)

I couldn't agree more Alexis! Stepping into a Bigger Game can look so frightening from the outside. But the truth of the matter is, when we are playing the bigger game we are meant to play, the universe meets us more than halfway and things do seem to get miraculously easier. I'm living the truth of your post right this very minute!
